Effectiveness of Human Pheromones as Attractants

Attracting the opposite sex is usually a hard task for many, particularly for men who lack the necessary physical feature to easily attract women for passionate love or for one-night stands. However, other than the physical feature of a person, there are also other factors that can significantly affect the success of attracting the opposite sex, and this is not only exclusive for the men, but also among the women. This is human pheromones. So what are human pheromones?

What is Pheromone?
Pheromone is a secreted or excreted chemical factor that can affect the behavior of another member of the same species. Although more commonly known among animals and insect, which is due to the fact that humans have developed communication through the use of languages, humans have also been recently proven to possess the same chemical factor. And similar to that in animals and insects, human pheromones also works as an attractant for procreation.

Different Sources of Human Pheromones
Recent studies had suggested that human pheromones do exist, and that it is based in different forms of hormones that the human body produces. One of those are the three different axillary steroids, the androstenone, androstenol, and androstandienone, which are produced by the testes, ovaries, and apocrine.
